The Nutrition Specialist reports to the Chief of UNICEF Field office in Bertoua. She/he is expected to work closely with the Nutrition Officer in Bertoua and receive technical guidance from the Chief of Nutrition based in Yaoundé. She/he is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Nutrition programme within the Bertoua field Office. Accountable for effective technical and programme support to facilitate the application and adaptation of UNICEF policies and strategies to achieve strategic priorities and objectives and expansion of UNICEF assisted Nutrition interventions in the East and Adamawa regions.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
An advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in nutrition, public health, public health nutrition and biological sciences.*A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, public health nutrition or nutrition in Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
