Description

We are recruiting for our client in logistics and transportation industry who is looking to expand their presence in the UK Market. This is a great opportunity for somebody with sales experience who wants to progress rapidly.

Mission

Junior freight forwarders and sales are agents who act on behalf of importers, exporters or other companies to organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.

·        .> Cold calling shippers and carriers,

·        > investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment,

·        > negociate rate with carriers and shippers,

·        > arrange appropriate packing of goods,

·        > negotiate contracts, transportation and handling costs,

·        > obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements,

·        > maintain communication and control through all phases of the journey...

Skills

·        communication and negociation skills,

·        teamwork, tact and good interpersonal skills

·        problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure

·        accuracy and attention to detail

·        language skills – English (fluent) and french (good)

Job requirements

Education : At least HND in sales, marketing, logistics and transport or any other education background but with experience in sales.

Language : English and French

Mastery of the computer tools MS office
