Shwari Health Cameroon is a locally registered organization with a vision to ensure the provision of quality, effective and innovative evidence-based solutions to address health systems challenges within the Health sector in Cameroon and beyond with a special focus to children and adolescents. To achieve this, Shwari Health Cameroon uses proven community strategies to identify HIV infected children and adolescents, refer them to health facilities for initiation on treatment, support and accompany them through treatment to ensure they remain in care and achieve viral suppression. Our mission is to be one of the most sought-after implementation science association in Cameroon that uses evidence-based strategies to effectively cover the ‘Know-Do’ gaps in the provision of health services. We aim to achieve this through the application of modern evidence generation and synthesis methods to understand operational contexts so as to devise strategies that could make the implementation efforts more effective and efficient. We are constantly expanding our expertise to ensure that our pooled experience is adequate to be responsive to the changing needs in health service provision. Our team has in depth knowledge and experience in working in the Cameroon local healthcare system, at all levels from community to policy making at national and subnational levels. By applying different innovative approaches such as multisectoral collaborations, data analytics and Continuous Quality Improvement, we have been able to understand organizational processes and barriers to effective implementation of various community interventions aimed at improving access to health services by children and adolescents.

Position Title: Data Analyst/Scientist

Reports to: Shwari Health Cameroon Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary: This position performs a variety of general administration and finance support tasks within the program’s operation and finance unit.  S/he will also be responsible for providing administrative support, as well as accounting services, for ensuring internal sound control, financial reporting, training, and providing advice and support to relevant stakeholders within a comprehensive financial management structure, which is related to all operations of the program cycle. The Data Analyst/Scientist will be responsible for the provision of onsite and overall M&E support by ensuring the completed implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities at facilities as well as reporting.

Job specific duties and Responsibilities

M&E, data Analysis

• Supervise data collection activities ;
• Assists in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system.
• Flags gaps in patient documentation (files and registers) with Facility Data clerks and communities
• Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be reported.
• Ensures availability of all tools at the site
• Completes alongside facility data clerk, data from registers and patient records into DAMA & EMR
• Ensures facility holds weekly data review meetings to; analyse performance, identify and resolve all data related issues
• Conduct Periodic data quality checks.
• Participate in data validation at site level in collaboration with GU and MOH Team
• Supports facility data clerk to review monthly RTG report with source document before submission.
• Ensure Monthly performance indicators are consistent.
• Participate in monthly/Quarterly  all DQA exercise
• Ensure that hard and soft copies of data collected are easily accessible and stored properly at sites

·       Coordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly performance dashboard review and program reporting activities within SHWARI

·       Implement program performance metrics and program data collection strategies and tools in supported sites within the regions

·       In Collaboration with GU team; Build capacity of district and regional health delegate health information management personnel

·       Support the process of institutionalizing Data Demand and Information Use for all

Data and Information systems

• Troubleshoot system and data quality issues
• Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to ensure quality of data in paperbased and Electronic systems and present for programming and clinical descision making 
• Coordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly performance dashboard review and program reporting activities
• Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use routines
• Designing databases and data systems
• Maintaining databases and data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance
• Analyzing collected data and putting it into a format that others can easily interpret

Qualifications and Experience:

·       Experience in in HIV program and tools is an added advantage (ie DAMA or EMR)
