We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our medical clinic. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic results for our patients. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to effectively support patient care and contribute to the overall success of our clinic.

Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision according to established protocols and procedures.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret patient samples, ensuring adherence to strict quality control measures throughout the diagnostic process.

- Utilize advanced laboratory equipment, instruments, and systems to ensure reliable and efficient test performance.

- Maintain detailed records of all tests performed, ensuring accurate documentation of results, interpretation, and any necessary follow-up actions.

- Participate in quality assurance and improvement processes, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the laboratory.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide consultations and support in the interpretation of laboratory results.

- Ensure compliance with established laboratory protocols, standards, and safety procedures, including infection prevention and control, laboratory waste management, and biosafety guidelines.

- Manage laboratory stock inventory, ordering and restocking supplies as needed, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies, protocols, and procedures.

- Actively participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in laboratory science, techniques, and procedures.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.

- Proven experience working in a medical laboratory setting.

- Exceptional team spirit and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable results.

- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, laboratory waste management procedures, and biosafety standards.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

- Familiarity with laboratory stock management, including inventory control and ordering processes.

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in French and English.

- Good interpersonal and people skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.
