We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Manager - Cameroon

Location: Douala Cameroon

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the MD and the GM, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive the company's revenue growth and overall market share in Cameroon.

you Shall be responsible for the development and execution of trade and channel-specific marketing plans, working closely through proper monitoring, coordination, and supervision of other sales team members to achieve the organization's financial objectives.

Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of the Cameroon renewable/solar market, and the ability to lead a high-performing sales team. Proficiency in both French and English is highly required for effective communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities / Duties

Ø Planning and Strategy:

·       Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy, including sales targets to drive and grow the company's market presence within the renewable sector in Cameroon.

·        Lead the implementation of the Trade Marketing plan to achieve defined business growth and objectives across all sales channels.

·        Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote the company's offerings to its target market within the country.

·  Use market research capabilities to plan for and implements an appropriate approach based on the understanding of the organizations target market and competitors to form strategic relationships with potential key customers, and stakeholders.

·        Provides product line budget requirements into the country's business unit annual operating plan.

Ø Sales and Distribution

·        Accountable for overall sales/business performance by ensuring that sales team targets are met through proper guidance and supervision.

·    Carryout proper planning and coordination of all marketing event s/promotions to create awareness, enhance sales volume and achieve desired results.

·         Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

·         Ensure the growth of the company's business through aggressive sales and techniques.

·       Work with other sales team members to regularly on-board/unlock distributors and dealers and other trade channels to increase the company's market share in the country of operation.

·    Ensure products availability in all developed locations and outlets within the country by monitoring inventories and ensuring prompt delivering.

·    Maintain a hitch-free delivery to the customers and sales team across various locations/outlets and strive to resolve complaint within 24 hours if they arise.

·    Work closely with other sales team to monitor stock levels of dealers, distributors, and partners for prompt replenishment, to avoid stock-outs.

Ø Market Research:

·    ·   Conduct market research to identify competitor activities and to pursue opportunities, partnerships, customer segments, and trends in the Cameroon market.

·      ·    Perform cost-benefit, marketing intelligence and needs analysis of potential customers to meet their needs.

·     ·   Work closely with the management to drives pricing activity of all products and promotions in line with current economic realities and researches done on the country's solar market.

Ø Reporting:

Generate Monthly Report in the following key Aspects:

·      Sales Performance Report: Provide an overview of monthly sales revenue, units sold, and sales growth compared to previous months.

·     Lead Generation Report: Detail the number of leads generated during the month, their sources, and the conversion rates to evaluate the effectiveness of your lead generation strategies and identify areas for optimization.

·      Customer Acquisition Report: Provide insights into the number of new customers acquired during the month, their demographics, and the sources through which they were acquired.

·   Product Performance Report: Analyze the sales performance of different solar system products or product categories. Include metrics such as units sold, revenue generated, and customer feedback.

·  Market Analysis Report: Provide report on market analysis by assessing the current market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.

·       Sales Team Performance Report: Evaluate the performance of the sales team members individually or as a team. Include metrics such as sales targets achieved, new accounts acquired, and customer satisfaction ratings.

Yearly Postponements:

1. Annual Sales and Revenue Report: Provide an overview of annual sales, revenue, profitability, and highlight key achievements and challenges.

2. Market Forecast Report: Project future market demand, growth opportunities, and potential risks for the upcoming year.

3. Customer Retention Report: Assess customer retention rates, identify reasons for customer churn, and propose strategies to improve customer loyalty.

4. Competitive Analysis Report: Analyze the competitive landscape, competitor strategies, and suggest ways to maintain a competitive edge.

5. Sales Strategy Evaluation: Review the effectiveness of sales strategies implemented throughout the year, identify successes, and recommend adjustments for the next year.

Other Managerial Duties

·         Identify training needs of the sales team and ensure timely and routine training exercise.

·         Develops all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure the successful launch of new products.

·         Drive available marketing resources and use those resources appropriately and as needed.

·         Drive improvement of customer satisfaction and solves elevated customer issues in relation to product.

·         Recommends marketing process changes that will improve Organizational Productivity.

Relevant Skill Sets

  • Communication: Proficiency in English and French language is a most for connecting with clients and sales team members across the country and regions.
  • Creativity: The ability to create innovative sales ideas for the company, grow its revenue and profits. Strong creativity skills needed to collaborate with promotion and marketing departments.
  • Sales knowledge: Extensive understanding of sales funnels, processes, and functions.
  • Team management: Expert/strong ability to lead, motivate and supervise a team to meet organization's sales objectives.
  • Persuasiveness: The ability to be persuasive to drive increased sales and partnership and to help motivate and encourage employees.
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Integrity: A core value at the center of our business.

Other Requirement

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA and MSC is a plus.

·      · 5-7 years leadership experience in sales and Business Development, especially in renewable energy and FMCG Company

·        · Fluency in both French and English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
