Job Title:          Human Resources Director, Guinness Cameroun S.A.
Reporting to:    Managing Director, Guinness Cameroon
Category:         12

Contract:          Permanent

 
PURPOSE
 
To develop the organizational effectiveness and people strategy which drives the outcomes required to support the business in achieving breakthrough results
To operate as a member of the GCSA Leadership Team and create an HR function that is able to deliver the O&P strategy including addressing challenges & shortfalls. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 
Qualifications
 

  • Business degree level or equivalent qualification.
  • HR qualification is desirable
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English is a must.

 
Experience
 

  • 8 years HR leadership experience preferably within a similar blue chip FMCG environment

 
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy
 

  • Lead the development and implementation of the GCSA Organization and Talent strategy
  • Manage Organization and People Development Review process for GCSA
  • Act as partner in the development of business strategy
  • Converts business strategy into HR execution pillars

 
Organization Effectiveness
 

  • With Exec team, leads the identification of the organization capabilities that support business strategy and develops plans to close gaps.
  • Takes the lead working with the Exec team to ensure that GCSA operating model can support the achievement of the company’s strategic goals
  • Leads Industrial relations agenda
  • Leads employee relations agenda
  • Works to create inspiring work environments, which maximizes the contribution of all employees

 
Talent
 

  • Develops employer brand for GCSA, which is effective in attracting a diverse talent pool both internally and externally.
  • Develop & actions long term talent resourcing strategy and plans to meet organisation needs.
  • Works with Leadership Team and line managers to embed processes, which drive employee development to meet organisation needs.
  • Acts as coach to the Leadership Team on organisation and people issues
  • Lead, coach and develop HR team within GCSA

 
Recognition & Reward
 

  • Embed a culture of performance and recognition within GCSA
  • With the support of reward experts in Diageo Africa, ensure that GCSA reward systems are aligned to the delivery of outstanding performance.
  • Develop and implement effective retention plans for key talent

 
Financial
 

  • Set, agree and manage annual HR budget for GCSA

 
External Relationships
 

  • Range of recruitment consultants.
  • Development consultants and psychologists.
  • HR professionals from other leading international companies in Cameroon.
  • External reward consultants
