The mission of the department
In pursuit of her vision of a future with healthy ecosystems and thriving biodiversity supporting people
and driving sustainable development in Cameroon, WWF Cameroon (WWF CCO) went into partnership
with the Programme for the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources – South West Region
(PSMNR-SWR). The partnership is currently in its fifth phase, covering the period 15 September 2023 to
December 2025. The goal of the Programme is to contribute towards the preservation of high-value
ecosystems in South-West Region, thereby contributing to improved livelihoods of the surrounding
communities in a sustainable manner. The purpose is sustainable forest and wildlife management by
affected stakeholders for their benefit, with special emphasis on the poorer segments of the local
populations.
Major Functions
Contribute to the efficient management of logistics and purchasing, and facilitate staff transport.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Driving
Drive the vehicles in complete safety, ensuring that all documents are available and in good
condition in the vehicle, and paying particular attention to:
- Keeping vehicles clean, both inside and out;
- Complying with internal regulations on vehicle management;
- Accompanying staff on missions and official functions.
2. Logistics / Admin
Collect goods from suppliers;
Support the Logistics Manager in the purchase of goods and services;
Collect various pro-formas and invoices, as required by the office;
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Cameroon is looking for a Driver Carry out administrative support activities: collect money from the bank, drop off documents at
various offices, etc.;
Ensure that requests for services or materials are duly approved before processing;
Enter orders into the system (GFS), according to the needs of the applicants;
Gather all informations relating to the use of vehicles, in order to prepare cost recovery for the
various projects;
Prepare invoices relating to the use of vehicles for official/private purposes;
Enter data into the system to generate statistics;
Prepare monthly statistical reports on the office's vehicles;
Establishing and maintaining, at the request of his/her supervisor, good links with suppliers.
Transport (by driving) the various project staff and teams (technical and financial teams) for the
implementation of activities;
Support day-to-day activities in the field by transporting teams and equipment in the project's
areas of intervention;
Report on the condition of vehicles and recommend repairs;
Carry out all other tasks as requested by line management.
Profile:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum BEPC + 3 years' experience in a similar position in an international organisation or CEP +
5 years' experience in an international organisation or multinational company;
Hold a valid Category D driving licence;
At least 5 years' work experience in the South West/North West region, more specifically in the
following areas Mount Cameroon Technical Operations Units (TOU) with Mount Cameroon
National Park (MCNP), Korup-Ndongere Technical Operations Units (TOU) with Korup National Park
(KNP), Bakossi-Bayang-Mbo-Nweh-Mundani Technical Operations Units (BBMNM) with Bakossi
National Park (BNP) and Bayang-Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary (BMWS);
Experience of working with MINFOF teams (National Park Conservators, Heads of Unit, Eco guards,
etc.)
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel;
Excellent communication skills in English and good knowledge of Pidgin and French;
