The Opportunity

 

In collaboration with the Project Manager and the EiE Coordinator, you will support the conduct of specific or general needs assessments, as required, and contribute to assessments in other sectors. As Education in Emergency Officer, you will provide effective capacity and technical management advice, including implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education in emergencies in the field, especially the Accelerated Education Program activities. You will organize and support implementation and community partners involved in the recovery process, participate in the identification of potential partnerships to implement child care and education recommendations, assess potential partners when available, or make recommendations on how to address gaps.

 As Education in Emergency Officer, you will responsible to ensure educational continuity and the protection of children in the areas of intervention, participate in data collection with the Plan leadership for the drafting of concept papers, proposals and budgets for education and child protection activities and contribute to ensuring that gender, education, DRR, conflict sensitivity, as well as the guidelines of the Plan and international child protection standards are considered in data collection for programme design.

 

The Individual

We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate, with a Bachelor degree in education or social sciences or any other equivalent discipline and at least 04 years of professional experience in the design and implementation of integrated projects and programs of Education and Child Protection; Professional experience in emergency situations (Internally Displaced Population) would be an asset. As EiE officer, you will have an experience/approved qualification in project implementation, management and administration, in management, strategic planning, monitoring / evaluation. An experience working in emergency situations (Internally Displaced Population) would be an asset.
