Notice of Call for applications for staff recruitment at Destiny Prints Limited
Destiny Prints Limited is an ultra-modern multipurpose company, which offer services ranging from
Printing, Packaging, Paper conversion to Publishing. The Head Corporate Head Office is located after
Scared Heart College Mankon, in a rose storey building along the highway to the Bamenda Airport and
other branch offices are situated in Douala (Behind UBA Bonaberi) and Buea (Molyko).
In order to fulfil its mission, Destiny Prints Limited is looking for a Chief Accountant and a Junior
Accountant.
1) Chief Accountant to work in Douala
The Chief Accountant shall be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the printing press. This
role involves ensuring the integrity of financial records, compliance with regulations, and the accurate
reporting of financial information. The Chief Accountant will manage a team of accountants and work
closely with other departments to ensure financial transparency and accountability. This position requires
a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles,
and excellent organizational capabilities.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Income and Expenditure Management
Ensure that income earned and expenditures incurred are in line with the company's prescribed
procedures.
Manage Accounts Receivables and Payables
Keep a track record of customers who owe the business and ensures the implementation of
effective recovery procedures.
Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly reports by the branch accountants
Consolidates all accounts of the business
Tax Management
Ensure timely tax declarations and payments.
Oversee all tax payment and compliance mechanisms for contracts registrations and execution.
Inventory Management
Monitor the overall inventory level of papers, books and consumables for the business :LE
Follow up to ensure that stock records for each branch are up to date.
Fixed Asset Management:
Oversee what branch accountants do with respect to assets management.
Consolidate the assets register of the business
Personnel Management
Ensure branch accountants prepare and maintain attendance records per staff
Cash Management
Oversee and regulate cash management activities for branches.
Accounting Information Systems
Ensure the company's accounting systems are up to date on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly
basis.
Budget Management
Assist management in preparing budgets for the business.
Tender Management
Assist in building and managing tender files ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared
accordingly and submitted on time.
Monitoring and Control
Continuously monitor the internal control mechanisms of the business to identify deficiencies and
make proposals for improvement.
Administrative Support
Collaborate with the executive in preparing and following up on administrative documents.
Assist in officiating all necessary documents for regulatory compliance.
Occasionally run other errands and carry out other asks as required by the executive.
Working relationships
Report directly to the General Manager
Work closely with all branch and stores accountants, service providers, other internal and external
stakeholders of the company.
Required qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in accounting/finance or a related field with minimum of five (05) years of
progressively responsible professional experience in financial accounting with at least two (2)
years in a supervisory or leadership role.
OR
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field with at least ten (10) years of progressive
professional experience in financial accounting with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or
leadership role.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICAN etc is an added advantage;
Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, particularly advanced level in MS excel
required;
Experience in using ERP system is highly desirable.
Knowledge and skills:
A strong understanding of OHADA accounting standards (SYSCOHADA)
Excellent understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in cost accounting techniques
Skills in financial analysis to interpret financial data, assess performance, and identify trends.
Knowledge of relevant tax regimes, regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance
Attention to detail and the ability to spot and question data errors (words and figures)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and occasionally under pressure

categorizing, and archiving records in both physical and digital formats.
2) Junior Accountant to work in Douala
Main Functions
The Junior Accountant shall play a crucial role in the financial health and operational efficiency of Destiny
Prints Ltd. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with
tax regulations, managing inventory, and providing key financial insights to support the company in
decision making and implementation. The Junior accountant will be expected to demonstrate a keen
attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Income and Expenditure Management
Raises purchase requisitions and follows them up for validation.
Ensures that purchases are actually carried out and that each purchase is properly documented.
Manage Accounts Receivables and Payables
Reconcile job books and debtors' records periodically to ensure consistency
Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts to verify cash flows and identify discrepancies.

Regularly update debtor balances to maintain accurate accounts receivable (a customer should be
able to have a print out of their account situation upon request)
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly reports, including printing reports, paper reports, book reports, staff files, and
packaging reports.
Generate monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow
statements.
Tax Management:
Assist the Chief Accountant with all activities related to the declaration and payment of monthly
taxes.
Assists with all tax payment and compliance mechanisms for contracts registrations and execution.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels for papers, books, consumables etc.
Post daily summaries (Papers, consumables and books) to the Odoo software and Electronic
Invoicing System (EIS).
Update daily stock movements of papers, consumables, and books to the Odoo software and EIS.
Perform daily inventory control and conduct monthly inventory counts to ensure accurate stock
levels.
Fixed Asset Management:
Assist in managing and monitoring the company's assets.
Keep and update asset registers.
Personnel Management:
Prepare and maintain attendance records for staff
Prepare monthly time summary sheets, bringing out statutory hours and overtime hours.
Administrative Support:
Collaborate with the executive in preparing and following up on administrative documents.
Working Relationships:

Required Qualifications and experience:
Degree in Accounting/finance or a related field

Knowledge of automated accounting systems. Knowledge of Odoo software and Electronic
Invoicing System (EIS) would be an added advantage;
