International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an NGO that supports humanitarian access for NGOs by providing reliable and objective, real-time analysis of local conditions relevant to humanitarian access. INSO helps improve information sharing and coordination among NGOs for the collective good while preserving the neutrality of humanitarian aid. INSO works particularly on issues of humanitarian access, best practices, and information monitoring. INSO provides alerts and recommendations, analyses, accurate contextual data, statistics and maps. INSO also organizes coordination meetings and training sessions.
As part of the implementation of its activities in Cameroon, the international humanitarian NGO INSO is looking for one (01) agent for domestic support.
§ Position : Domestic Support
§ Duty Station : Bamenda
Overall Purpose of Role :
The Domestic Support ensures the cleanliness of the houses and takes care of the cleanliness of personal linen and other linen. In addition the Domestic Support participates in the preparation of staff meals and performs routine administrative and logistical tasks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cleaning
· Clean ceilings, windows, windowsills, furniture and equipment, main entrances and terraces on a daily basis;
· Sweep and mop the floor on a daily basis,
· Wash bathrooms, toilets and kitchens on a daily basis;
· Empty the dustbins on a daily basis and ensure that the inside of the dustbins is properly cleaned;
· Properly store cleaning equipment;
· Laundry
· Change when requested or at least once a week the sheets and pillowcase of each occupied room ;
· Change when requested or at least once a week the towels in the bathrooms ;
· Extend the blankets of each room outside at least once a week ;
· Organizes the personal laundry of employees, towels and sheets of the houses ;
· Ensure the proper ironing of personal linen and household linen ;
· Kitchen and Food :
When requested :
· Manage the food box and purchase food supplies for the Guest house on a monthly basis
· Prepare and serve daily meals in the Guest House
· Propose a varied menu
· Meet the special dietary need as requested
· Clean the dining area, kitchen and cooking utensils
· Follow good hygienic rules when preparing food
· Ensure visiting staff contribute food money as per regulations
· Manage the food supplies
· Maintain Kitchen equipment and report any non-functioning equipment
· Ensure cooking gas is replenished when required and always have a spare cooking gas available
· Logistics and Administration
· Verify and ensure that hygienic equipment and cleaning products are available in homes, and submit to the Administrator a statement of needs when necessary;
· Ensure that locks of doors and windows properly function ;
· Keep premises always locked (doors and windows ;
· Report to the Administrator any necessary maintenance and repairs of the facilities of the houses;
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
· Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
· GCA O Level or equivalent.
· Hotel training certificate or equivalent
· Previous working experience with international staff is an asset.
Nice to Have:
· Working Experience with International NGOs
· Knowledge of French, both written and spoken is an asset

· Team spirit and good management of interpersonal relationships.
