English Language Instructor

Job Summary:

The English Language Instructor will be responsible for teaching Introduction to English, a program designed to introduce students to the basics of English speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversation skills. The instructor will develop lesson plans, deliver lectures, conduct interactive learning activities, and evaluate student progress.

Responsibilities:

1.     Develop lesson plans and course materials that align with the course objectives and content.

2.     Conduct lectures and interactive learning activities such as role-playing, public speaking, small group discussions, grammar and vocabulary-building exercises, and listening comprehension exercises.

3.     Evaluate student progress through quizzes, assignments, and exams, and provide feedback to students on their performance.

4.     Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

5.     Provide individualized support to students as needed to help them achieve their learning goals.

6.     Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to continuously improve the quality of the course and overall student experience.

Qualifications:

1.     Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field.

2.     At least 2 years of experience teaching English as a second language to non-native speakers.

3.     Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

4.     Experience developing lesson plans and course materials.

5.     Ability to use interactive and engaging teaching methods to promote student engagement and participation.

6.     Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

7.     Familiarity with current trends and best practices in English language teaching.

8.     Flexibility in adapting to the needs and learning styles of diverse student populations.
