Maersk is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Cameroon.

The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by actively seeking out and engaging prospective customers especially those in the concerned vertical. This position involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, presenting product offerings, negotiating contracts, and closing sales. The Sales Representative will work closely with the sales team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain a deep understanding of the market to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Identify potential customers and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.

Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

Qualify leads based on defined criteria and prioritize efforts to maximize sales opportunities.

Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:

Engage with prospects to understand their business requirements and present relevant product solutions.

Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing key features and benefits.

Address customer inquiries, objections, and concerns, providing accurate and timely information to build trust and confidence.

Relationship Building and Account Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and challenges.

Regularly communicate with existing customers to provide product updates, address concerns, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

Act as a trusted advisor, offering exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.

Sales Negotiation and Closing:

Develop and execute effective sales strategies to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to win new business.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales managers and legal teams, to ensure accurate and timely contract preparation and execution.

Close sales by obtaining signed contracts and securing required approvals.

Sales Reporting and Pipeline Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress in Salesforce (SFDC).

Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to sales management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

Continuously manage and update the sales pipeline, ensuring efficient progression of leads through each stage of the sales cycle.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, and customer experience to align sales efforts and achieve business objectives.

Provide feedback and insights gathered from customer interactions to contribute to product enhancements and market positioning.

Share best practices, sales techniques, and market knowledge with the sales team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Who we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the Industrial, Oil & Gas Vertical industry.

Strong understanding of the Industrial, Oil & Gas Vertical sector, including knowledge of industry trends, distribution channels, and market dynamics.

Fluent in English

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.

Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a passion for exceeding targets.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales productivity tools.

Willingness to travel and meet with clients as needed.
