Duties
The incumbent serves as Administrative Clerk for the Local Guard Force (LGF) and provides administrative, secretarial, time and attendance, and other clerical support to LGF operations. He/She is the main timekeeper of the Local Guard Force, prints Time and Attendance (T&A) sheets, compares them with supporting documents and submits reports to the Guard Force Commander (GFC) or to the Assistant Regional Security Officer (A/RSO) for clearance and approval. He/She maintains records of leave and attendance, makes payroll corrections as necessary and tracks LGF staff overtime. The position is supervised by the Security Coordinator.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of secretarial or administrative experience in an international organization or in a large local institution is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good working knowledge of English and French Grammar, spelling and punctuation. Good at MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook e-mail. Must possess a valid Category “B” Drivers' License with a minimum validity of five (5) years. These may be tested.
Education Requirements:
Successful completion of high school education (GCE “A” level or Baccalauréat) is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Good Working Knowledge (speaking/reading/writing) in English and French is required. These may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to interact with employees tactfully, inspire their confidence and trust, and maintain a pleasant attitude despite numerous work pressures and deadlines. Must be able to work independently for routine work and provide excellent customer service. Must have typing skills of 40 w.p.m. minimum. These may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Yaounde, Cameroon may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
