JOB VACANCY - Microhealth Global Medical Center, MIGLOMEC : Medical Laboratory Technologist

Microhealth Global Medical Center, MIGLOMEC located at GRA, Opposite Mbengwi Prison; is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our esteemed team. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals by conducting various laboratory tests and analyses. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and improved patient care.

 Responsibilities :
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures with precision, following established protocols and quality control standards.
- Use a range of laboratory equipment and instruments to analyze samples, including automated systems and manual techniques.
- Prepare specimens for testing, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and enter data into laboratory information systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and pathologists, to interpret and communicate test results.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated with advancements in laboratory techniques, technologies, and regulations through continuous education and professional development.

 Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- If available, Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from a recognized accrediting body.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a medical laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and utilizing laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and precision.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and new laboratory techniques.
- Ethical conduct, professionalism, and respect for patient confidentiality.
