The Opportunity:

 

The Case Management Officer (CMO) will be responsible for managing the case management component of the project. The CMO shall ensure that holistic and quality case management is provided by Social/Case Workers to all identified cases of UASC, CAAFAG, survivors of sexual abuse, violence and exploitation - either through direct support or referrals to other service providers identified via an updated mapping.

You shall ensure that identified local service providers are trained on how to better mainstream child protection and provide child friendly services.

 

On a need’s basis, you shall also ensure that case review and conferences are organized for complex cases, providing regular training, coaching, and supervision to Social/Case Workers on case management guiding principles and tools - in line with minimum standards for case management and in-country SOPs.

This position reports to the Project Coordinator.

 

The Individual/About You:

 

The CMO is expected to hold a Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or related disciplines, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field of child protection or working with children and youth, and atleast two (2) years being in the humanitarian context.

     As the CMO, your knowledge gained through training and experience in child protection and/or case management alongside familiarity with operations in a setting hosting Internally Displaced Persons or similar settings will be strategic for this role.You are also expected to demonstrate good understanding of operations of international NGOs in a volatile security context, while proving an ability to uphold confidentiality - especially when handling cases and supervising the work of subordinates.
