The Opportunity
The Treasury Department is a specialized team that utilizes technology to extend its services to over 50 country offices, 19 National Organisations, and 3 Field Country National Organisations. Annually, the department handles approximately 900 foreign exchange transactions totaling around €400,000,000 and manages a daily deposit book of approximately €100,000,000. The Treasury Department operates with a Salmon treasury management system and SAP general ledger. As a Treasury Officer, you will be responsible for international payments, managing fund receipts from member organisations, and preparing field Treasury Reporting.
In this role, you will have regular interactions with National Organisation Finance Directors, Country Finance Managers, Regional Finance Managers, Regional Directors, and Plan’s global bank dealers. You will ensure that over 50 countries maintain sufficient daily cash funding while overseeing budgets.
The Person
The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and be a fully/part-qualified accountant or actively pursuing qualifications such as CIMA/ACCA/ACT/ACA. You must have extensive knowledge of international banking, foreign exchange trades, and investment banking. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and advanced Excel proficiency are essential.

Location: Ideally UK-based, employed by the Global Hub for Plan International in Woking, Surrey. However, consideration will be given to other locations where Plan International has an office* and where you have the legal right to work and reside. Hybrid or fully remote arrangements are also possible for this position.

Salary: Specific salary and benefits will be disclosed during the application process. Note that salary and benefits are determined based on location. In the UK, the salary would be circa £30,000.
