ABOUT USThe Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established as a government-funded agency dedicated to grant aid programs in April 1991. KOICA Endeavors to combat Poverty and support Socio- Economic growth of partner countries. In doing so, KOICA establishes and strengthens friendly ties with developing countries.
SCOPE OF WORKSafety Management
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for volunteers and employees
- Offer security Briefings to volunteers and KOICA personnel
- Build and Maintain a relationship with the Gendarmerie and the Police on issues related tothe security of volunteers and KOICA personnel
- Intervene in cases of emergencies involving KOICA staff and volunteers
- Write official letters to police security units when needed and follow up should be taken seriously
- Missions to different regions where volunteers are dispatched to check the security situation at home and workplaces
- Review the security condition of Korean staffs' (including volunteers) residence
- Monitoring surveillance equipment(CCTV) of KOICA Office.
- Supervise security company
- Coordinate medical checkups for volunteers
Security Report
- Write regularly updated reports(weekly and monthly) on security issues in Cameroon(Whenvolunteers are dispatched, focus on the region)
- Monthly ODA(Official Development Assistance) News
- Collect ODA News every month
Perform any other duties as required
PREREQUISITES
- Bachelor's degree in security/safety or related field
- Advanced degree is an advantage
- At least 5 years related working experience in the relevant field
- Working experience with other Donor organisations, agencies is an advantage.
- Mastery or adequate fluency in English and French particularly in written documents Computer proficiency, related to professional office software packages
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
CONDITIONS OF SERVICESRemuneration will be based on the criteria according to the prevailing local market rates and based on KOICA Cameroon Office's internal remuneration calculation system. In addition, it can be adjusted based on the applicant's experiences.
