Position: MANAGER
Role summary:
This role joins the Management and Finance team and is expected to work in collaboration with the Heads of Finance and Marketing departments to support the evolving operations and management needs of the business. Should be able to adapt quickly to a fast paced and multi-cultural environment. Given that the company is a Cosmetic production / distribution company, the ideal candidate for this role should have key knowledge/experience in Management and be versed with Accounting and Marketing as will supervise both departments. Our company runs an objective based rather than time/activity based performance management system and will do a regular evaluation as needed.
Ideal candidate profile:
Here is an ideal profile for a successful candidate in this role:
- Hold a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing or Accounting with a proven track record of experience;
- Fluency in English and French Languages
- At least 3 Years of professional work experience excluding internship in a Management, Marketing,
administrative and/or operational role (experience a Cosmetic industry is desirable
but not a strong requirement for this role).
- Would have to reside in Yaoundé Cameroon, with about 25% travel to other regions for work.
Key deliverables:
- Assist in customer acquisition and retention of existing Clients;
- Identify hurdles (speed breaks and road blocks) in the operations processes and
make recommendations for improvements;
- Assist in investigating any issues with Customers, wholesale and or retail and providing timely feedback
- Identify / create new sales channels for products, which may include markets or regions where products are not yet distributed
- Put in place measures to check expiration of products timely and avoid products from being expired by bringing strategy to push out such products early enough.
- Supervise the Accounting and Marketing teams ensuring they provide timely reports upon request for followup and action by Management
- Define and structure the role of sales persons at shops and put measures for their performance review
- Assist and direct commercial efforts.
- Any other tasks as deemed necessary by Senior Management
Other important details:
Work schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00PM (Mondays to Fridays) and half day of work on Saturdays.
Desired start date: Monday July 22nd 2024.
