RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Delivery

Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and revenue data from various sources within the organization to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making
Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, scorecards, and conduct ad-hoc analyses to track key financial and revenue metrics
Partner closely with business stakeholders, actively engaging with them to understand their needs and provide robust analytical support that informs strategic decision-making process
Build innovative methods to eliminate manual processes for accurate revenue recording, participate in automation and simplification projects to reduce cycle time and enhance revenue analysis
Identify opportunities for revenue optimization and cost savings through data-driven analytics, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
Collaborate with billing process owners to design and implement a data-driven billing validation process, leveraging analytics to ensure bill accuracy and integrity before release to customers, thereby supporting revenue assurance and enhancing customer satisfaction
Work closely with other team members to design, build, and automate analytic reports for revenue and COS assurance, covering all revenue streams to ensure accuracy and integrity
Support the Credit Control & Vetting teams to analyze credit notes and all provisions to ensure fairness and accuracy, utilizing data-driven insights to validate financial adjustments
Perform forecasting and scenario modelling to predict future financial and revenue performance, providing actionable insights for strategic planning
Implement advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, trend analysis, and anomaly detection to existing revenue processes in order to uncover actionable insights and enhance overall decision-making process
In guidance of SM Credit Risk & Revenue Management, undertake the automation of reporting processes and establish data governance frameworks to uphold data integrity and reliability
Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to the Finance leadership team, guiding informed decisions in support of strategic planning initiatives
Evaluate and eliminate or mitigate all potential risk areas in the end-to-end revenue reporting process that could potentially obstruct the accurate and timely presentation of report to group
Assume proactive ownership of identified revenue reporting issues, diligently following up to ensure they are promptly addressed and resolved to maintain accurate and timely reporting
Act as a trusted advisor, maintaining continuous collaboration with the General Ledger and Reporting team to provide strategic inputs in review of group reporting requirements and ensure timely compliance
Collaborate with IT and system support units to explore opportunities for enhancing the intelligence of revenue reports
Maintain proper documentation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards
Stay abreast of latest trends, industry best practices and emerging technologies with regards to financial and revenue analytics, ensuring our approach remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Minimum of 3 years university degree/ bachelor’s degree in finance, Economic, Accounting, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field
MBA or relevant advanced degree (advantageous)
Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, revenue assurance, or a similar role within the telecommunications or related industry
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis/mining, and statistical techniques
Deep knowledge of credit risk assessment and management and Financial period close repor
Ability to translate data analysis into strategic recommendations that support organizational goals and drive business growth
Experience working in a medium to large organization
Pan Africa multi-cultural experience will be preferable

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Hands-om experience in handling large datasets, data cleansing, and data visualization tools to present findings clearly and effectively
Understanding of the telecom industry or relevant sectors, including familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue drivers
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to financial reporting and analytics
