Job Title: Project Coordinators
Project: Community Resilience Support Program in Cameroon (PARCCameroon)

FHI 360 is currently recruiting three (03) Project Coordinators for the USAID-funded
Community Resilience Support Program in Cameroon (PARC-Cameroon) based in the
cities of Bafoussam, Douala and Garoua. PARC-Cameroun supports the institutional
capacity building of local civil society organizations in Cameroon so that they can better
represent and serve their communities and contribute to the achievement of their
development goals at the community level.
CONTEXT
FHI 360 is currently recruiting three (03) project coordinators for its USAID-funded
project called the Cameroon Community Resilience Support Program (PARC-Cameroon).
The goal of PARC-Cameroon is to empower Cameroonians to meet their needs through
improved access to services and advocacy capacity.
During this Phase, the project will expand to new geographical areas and implement
activities within a sub-objective that aims to understand the drivers, actors and locations
of electoral violence, challenges, needs and opportunities of the media and civil society
actors, as well as governmental and non-governmental institutions, in order to provide
accurate and credible information for the implementation of a peaceful and violencefree election in Cameroon.
The positions of the Project Coordinators will be based in Garoua, Douala and
Bafoussam in the North, Littoral and West regions respectively, and will report to the
Senior Regional Coordinator based in Yaoundé.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Coordinator in the region, you will coordinate the management of the
activities of the program which includes strategic partners (civil society organizations
and the media) in collaboration with the Field Activities Coordinator, the Monitoring and
Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, the Senior Regional Coordinator, the Capacity
Building Officer, the Communications Manager and the Support team. You will ensure
a high-quality implementation of the program based on the objectives and expected
results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
• Ensure technical and results-oriented management of PARC-Cameroon's work
through its activities;
• Manage the programme's work and information workflows to ensure
collaboration and synergy of actions with all strategic partners and stakeholders
in the region;
• Ensure the execution of the activities of the strategic partners by respecting the
clauses of the contract and its overall compliance as the project manager in the
area;
• Coordinate the activities of the partners in accordance with the project
description and prepare work tools according to the activities and monitor the
deadlines for the implementation of the activities and reporting;
• Ensure a conducive working environment with strategic partners and the PARCCameroon team;
• Participate in the various meetings/clusters with development and government
actors to present the project activities and ensure the visibility of the PARC in the
area.
Coordination and reporting
• Preparation, monitoring and operationalization of PARC activities in the area, as
well as the preparation of deliverables;
• Regular reports on the progress of the PARC;
• Implementation of the recommendations of PARC Management to advance the
program;
• Identification of potential program risks in the area, monitoring risks and making
regular reports to the Regional Coordinator
• Contact person for PARC-Cameroon and for the coordination of the programme
in the region
• Support to the organization of reflection workshops at the regional level with
strategic partners to exchange lessons learned, best practices and obstacles of
the program,
• Support the implementation of the communication and visibility plan for the
program in the region,
• Support the development of partners' capacity building plans;
• Ensure capacity building of strategic partners on issues related to electoral
processes, monitor them and make adjustment proposals throughout the
agreement
• Oversee the implementation of all activities of the project's strategic partners in
the region
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Have a master's degree in governance and public action, Law, Political Sociology,
Political Science and International Economics, or in a relevant field or equivalent
qualification appropriate to the position;
• At least 8 years of professional experience in the coordination and implementation
of development projects;
• Have at least 3 years' experience in the implementation of projects on the electoral
process in Cameroon or elsewhere;
• Experience working with media and government actors;
• Experience in collaborating with and supporting local CSOs in humanitarian and
development contexts;
• Experience in networking partners in project implementation;
• Good experience in writing high-quality reports based on evidence of the activities
implemented;
• Good experience in capacity building of civil society organizations;
• Excellent communication skills in a culturally diverse environment and especially on
sensitive topics;
• Excellent written and oral knowledge of French and English;
• Good knowledge of the environment of the chosen region and the local language(s)
of the area.
