The company Europe Afrique Services (EAS), specialized in subcontracting and
human resources management, is recruiting for the needs of its client, a large oil
and gas distribution company, a Dispatcher / Hydrocarbons Logistician , for a
mission of 1 year.
RESPONSABILITIES
The hydrocarbon logistician is responsible for organizing, coordinating,
supervising and managing all product reception, storage, handling and
transportation operations for a depot or logistics unit. He/she ensures compliance
with the relevant regulations, in liaison with the relevant departments of the
company and the various authorities.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Ensure anticipation and receipt of customer orders, planning and delivery
(fleet status, truck checklist, etc.) in line with sales and order fulfillment
targets.
• Optimize management of the available tanker fleet;
• Generate pick-up orders (BE), delivery notes (BL) and invoices in order to
expedite delivery operations;
• Respect credit limits and obtain all necessary approvals and waivers;
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehousing, transportation and
customer service.
• Organize the receipt and loading of petroleum products.
• Monitor and coordinate accounting of product movements and permanent
inventory status
• Plan and implement product transport operations
• Supervise the completion of customs formalities
• Oversee the implementation of QHSSE instructions and rules, and the
safety management system
• Manage, optimize and coordinate the complete order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and
efficiency
• Organize the warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any problems or complaints that may arise
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse staff
• Achieve cost, productivity, accuracy and speed targets
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement
improvements
• Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS
Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, sound business ethics
and judgment, good time management.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
• At least two (02) years' experience in “Customer Services”.
• A good knowledge of hydrocarbon distribution is an asset.
• Proven experience as a logistics manager
• Successful experience in distribution and logistics management
• Understanding and mastering the global industrial process and production
management system
• Organize and optimize inventories and flows according to defined
constraints
• Master the transport environment: language, codes, methods, procedures,
standards and regulations in force
• Keep abreast of technological and logistical developments
• Understand how to manage an information system
• Establish a relationship of trust with a variety of contacts
• Negotiate a purchasing contract
• Manage a complex project
• Organize work by managing priorities
• Manage and lead a team with diplomacy and firmness
• Operational know-how
LEVEL OF STUDIES
BAC +2/3 in Logistics or Supply Chain
LANGUAGES AND OTHERS
-English : professional
-French : fluent
