Description of the organization:
The Center for Research and Integrated Health Systems Strengthening (CRIHSS Foundation) is a local organization in Cameroon focused on strengthening laboratory services including sample transportation for the health sector. Since 2019 CRIHSS Foundation continues to collaborate with local and international organizations to support the Government of Cameroon (GoC) in the development and implementation of health programs. The organization collaborates with the Ministry of Health and other partners to strengthen laboratory capacity and clinical services, with a particular focus on HIV testing (VL, EID), TB services and treatment. In the last five years CRIHSS has been at the forefront of advancing laboratory services with emphasis on designing and implementing sample transportation services for HIV (VL, EID), TB and other related programs. CRIHSS Foundation has worked extensively with PEPFAR IPs to expand its sample transportation service delivery program in Cameroon. With in the framework of its Project INTRASSAT funded by CDC/PEPFAR, CRIHSS Foundation will continue to support national capacity and strengthen transportation and referral of samples for laboratory testing services and return of results for HIV, TB, and emerging infectious diseases in Cameroon.
Duties and responsibilities
Within this funding opportunity, CHRISS Foundation is currently seeking to hire a highly motivated individual to serve as M&E for the INTRASSAT Project. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the project. In addition, they will be expected to perform the following key roles and responsibilities.
• In liaison with the programme team, develop monitoring systems to track project outputs;
• Develop and improve CF’s monitoring and evaluation framework to ensure simple, transparent and cost-effective tracking of results across CF’s programmes;
• Provide ongoing oversight, verification and report across projects management;
• Collect, analyze and use data to monitor and evaluate overall progress in project INTRASSAT implementation to reach set outcomes and impacts;
• Provide feedback and analysis on the relevance, effectiveness and sustainability of CF’s project interventions in order to allow corrective action if necessary;
• Monitor quantitative and qualitative reporting by our local partners to ensure the accuracy and high quality of data management;
• Liaise with external evaluators during project evaluations and communicating/applying evaluation findings and recommendations across relevant programmes;
• Monitor and ensure that a management response to the findings and recommendations of the evaluation is completed, recorded, and followed up for implementation.
Required Qualifications
The selected candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as M&E, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate competency by providing proof of completion of a Master Degree in relevant fields. Strong considerations will be given to candidates who are familiar with donor reporting, particularly for CDC PEPFAR, USAID, DFID, EU, or other international agencies and are proficient in both official languages used in Cameroon (English and French). Additionally, we will give preference to candidates with one or more skills as listed below:
• Mastery in the use of data analysis software for example (SPSS, R) or any other software applicable to public health
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in data analysis/ biostatistics
• Ability to translate data into reports
