Position: Program Coordinator
Organization: Mountain Hub - Iknite Space Cohort

Location: Buea, Cameroon
Employment Type: Full-Time (6-month contract with the possibility to extend based on the program funding)

Start Date: February 1, 2025
Salary: 100,000 XAF/month

About Us
Mountain Hub's Iknite Space Cohort is a transformative training program for designers and software engineers based in Buea, Cameroon. Our mission is to equip recent graduates with the skills, tools, and experiences necessary to succeed in competitive technology fields. Since its inception, the program has supported talented individuals, many of whom face significant barriers in accessing recent technologies and industry growth trajectories. This call is for the launching of Cohort 4 in February 2025, with 10 trainees.
To ensure the program's success, we are seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations and serve as a vital link between trainees, volunteer mentors, and Mountain Hub staff.
Key Responsibilities
Program Administration
• Oversee the daily operations of the Mountain Hub Iknite Space Cohort training program.
• Coordinate and maintain the program schedule, ensuring all sessions and activities run smoothly.
Manage communication and logistics for online learning platforms and internet access.
Trainee Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for trainees, addressing their concems and providing guidance throughout the program.
• Monitor and track trainee progress, ensuring timely submission of assignments and participation in program activities.

• Facilitate trainees' access to mentors, resources, and professional development opportunities.
Mentor Coordination
Liaise with volunteer mentors to schedule mentorship sessions and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
• Support mentors by ensuring they have the resources and materials needed to guide trainees effectively.
Technical & Operational Support
• Troubleshoot any technical or administrative issues that may arise, including those related to internet connectivity or platform access.
Collaborate with Mountain Hub staff to maintain a well-equipped learning space.
Fundraising & Reporting
Provide program updates and testimonials to support fundraising efforts.
• Document key milestones, successes, and areas for improvement during the cohort for future reporting and program iterations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in program management, education, or a related field.
• Strong interest or background in technology, software development, or education is highly desirable.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills (e.g., internet and platform-related issues).
• Experience coordinating teams or programs is a plus.
