Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of individuals, fostering a culture of professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Team Engagement:
Promote an inclusive and supportive work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and high performance

Strategic Leadership and Planning:
Develop and implement the strategic vision and objectives of the organisation including the area priorities. Manage daily operationalization of the office across the Cameroun, ensuring the free flow of tasks and communication.

Compliance and Enforcement:
Ensure strict adherence to national and international custom laws, regulations, and policies. Develop and implement robust control.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the principal liaison between Customs and Maersk, including Government Agencies, Trade bodies, and the private sector to foster a collaborative effort to the benefit of Maersk.

Who are we looking for?

In – depth knowledge of Customs laws, regulations, and procedures, both national and international.
Strong strategic planning and leadership skills, with the ability to drive organizational change and modernization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data driven decision making.
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
Proficiency in both French and English is an asset.
