CONTEXT
About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors is a humanitarian and Development international Korean NGO founded in Seoul in March 1991. It is present in 51 countries around the world and aims to make the world a better, hunger-free place, where people live together in harmony. It focuses on Community development to protect children's rights and encourage community autonomy.
Good Neighbors started its operations in Cameroon since 2014. It has a head Office is in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. Good Neighbors Cameroon’s (GNCMR) work is focused on community development, implementing projects in the sectors of Health, Child Protection, livelihood (Income Generation Activities), food security, Education, Water and Sanitation hygiene and Environment. GNCMR works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. The organization also targets different international donors for funding opportunities.
I. BACKGROUND
In recent years, the pool of grant funding opportunities has significantly declined. Eligible funding opportunities are very scarce and securing these fun demands very complicated application procedures, rigorous reporting and compliance procedures including fierce competition. On the other hand, the humanitarian and development needs in Cameroon are growing by the day. With limited funds, it has become difficult to efficiently and effectively address these needs.
In order to achieve its goal of creating sustainable, self-reliant communities that promote the rights and wellbeing of children, GNCMR wishes to diversify its funding sources. To secure sustainable funding to scale up its existing projects to reach more beneficiaries and address pressing community needs, GNCMR seeks to build strategic partnerships with businesses and organizations that prioritize Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to access funding and collaborative opportunities.
II. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
From the above background, Good Neighbors Cameroon is seeking the services of a Partnership Development Consultant to identify and create opportunities for partnership with CSR focused businesses/Organizations in Cameroon that have CSR activities that align with Good Neighbors Cameroon’s goals and objectives. This will help to diversify its funding streams to address pressing needs of communities and meet its strategic goals. Specifically, the Consultant will;
• Conduct a mapping exercise to identify potential partnership opportunities with Cameroonian businesses and organizations prioritizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
• Develop a comprehensive database of potential partners, including their contact information, email addresses, field of work and potential areas for collaboration and share with Good Neighbors Cameroon
• Develop and share an actionable and strategic guideline on how to establish relationships with each identified business or Organization with CSR responsibilities. This will enable GNCMR to effectively engage with them
• Present the findings and key recommendations from the partnership mapping exercise and resource mobilization strategy to GNCMR staff
• Provide support and guidance to GNCMR staff on implementing the strategy and engaging with the potential partners
The Consultant may decide to work with a collaborator or assistants to facilitate his/her work (This collaborator or assistant is NOT the responsibility of Good Neighbors Cameroon).
Good Neighbors Cameroon is responsible for;
1. 1. Ensuring access to all information required by the Consultant to facilitate their work
2. Ensuring follow-up of the Consultation
3. Host an information training session where the Consultant will present the findings of the Consultancy
III. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. A comprehensive database of potential partners
2. A strategic guideline outlining steps to establish successful partnerships with identified CSR agencies
3. A report of the findings and recommendations from the partnership mapping exercise
4. Presentation materials from the information training session
5. Ongoing support for development of partnerships with the identified CSR agencies
I. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Advanced degree in International Development, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or any other relevant fields
2. Professional certifications in Resource mobilization, fundraising will be an added advantage
3. Good strategic visioning, critical and strategic thinking skills
4. Proven/Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and experience in building and maintaining partnerships/relationships with Private Sectors, investors, businesses and other potential partners
5. Strong Networking skills
6. Experience and proven track record of fundraising and resource mobilization for NGOs is required
7. Familiarity with donor trends, their priorities and requirements for development projects
8. Strong facilitation and communication skills
9. Ability to facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences
10. Fluency in English and French language is required.

III. REPORTING
The Consultant is expected to produce the report of the Consultancy no later than one week after the Consultancy
