ABOUT CIVIL PEACE SERVICE
The Civil Peace Service (CPS) of the Catholic Church in Cameroon supports local initiatives for conflict prevention, the promotion of (inter-religious) dialogue and social cohesion. It accompanies partners in their actions for justice, peace, reconciliation, the defence of human rights and psychosocial support forvulnerable people.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator, the Coordination Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the implementation and organizational and administrative management of the program, ensuring quality, effectiveness and efficiency in terms of results. He/she will also contribute to strengthening the impact of the Civil Peace Service in Cameroon,
Roles and responsibilities
A. Administrative support
- Preparing and consolidating internal and external reports and supporting documents relating to the program.
- Drafting of official correspondence (letters, emails, invitations, etc.)
- Drafting minutes of briefings and meetings
- Managing and structuring archives (physical- and digital)
- Supporting the documentation and preparation of accounts in collaboration with the Finance officer
B. Organization
- Planning, preparation and mcnitcrsng ofevent
- Coordinatior. with service providers (caterers. Irnsport, accommodation) in coiiabcretion with the åogis:.cs officer
- Organizing travels for the project team, coordnators and visitors
- Support for administrative processes relating to travel and events
C. Content work in the framework of peace education
- Introduction of its cwn expertise in the field of peace education and the 'Do no Harm' approach
Supporting the development of peace education themes in consultation with the coordination and other NECC departments.
- Representing the coordination at relevant meetings and conferences
- Participation in the drafting cf guides, manuak or procedures to promote peace education
- Organizing and moderatingawareness-raising campaigns, training courses and workshops for verious target audiences
D. Internal communications and public relations
- Coordinating internal schedules and managing appointments
- Collecting and processing project-related information
- Support for knowledge management (structured archiving, dissemination of information) - Support for media communication and publications
- Working with the local media
E. Other
- Any other tasks inherent to the job,
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors Degree in social sciences, sociology or other related fields ,
At least 03 years of Professional experience ;
At least one year's significant professional experience in a assistant position and with international organizations or development cooperation;
Skills in peace education, qualitative impact analysis and project management;
Proficiency in digital tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cloud systems, Zoom, Teams) ;
Knowledge of the Catholic Church and Civil Peace Service desired
Personal skills
- Organizational skills, autonomy, reliability änd discretion; - Intercultural skills, flexibility, team spirit and commitment; - Proactive, results- and service-oriented.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Good ability to pass on knowledge.
Lanquaqe requirement
Fluency in French (oral and written) , good level of English required;
Travel requirement: The activity ihüdlvéS business travels

External: All the NECC services ; the CPS stakeholder
