CALL FOR APPLICATIONS MASTER’S INTERNSHIP IN MICROBIOLOGY
The Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID) is recruiting two Master’s students in Microbiology as part of the ICARS-funded project: “Preventing the Spread of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through Wastewater Used in Urban Agriculture in Cameroon.”
Internship Objectives
Selected students will support various research and field activities, including:
Collection and microbiological analysis of environmental and food samples.
Isolation, identification, and antibiotic susceptibility testing of resistant bacteria.
Participation in laboratory and fieldwork.
Assistance with data collection and analysis.
Writing of scientific reports.
- Eligibility Criteria
Having the required GPA in Master’s year 1 for admission to Master’s year 2
Solid understanding of bacterial culture, microbiological techniques, and antibiotic resistance testing.
Motivated, rigorous, and able to work in a team environment.
Strong interest in public health and antimicrobial resistance research.
- Location: CRID, Yaoundé, Cameroon
- Start Date: January 2026
- Duration: 6 months
- Compensation: Internship and monthly allowance provided
