SUMMARY OF THE SERVICE
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (NECC) is the institution that represents all the Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church in Cameroon. It is a public juridical person whose mission is to continue to witness the love of Christ to all men so that they may have life in abundance (cf. Jn 10:10). NECC is in partnership with Missio Aachen, an international Catholic Missionary Organization, which is one of the largest aid organisations in Germany. Missio Aachen promotes the development of the Catholic Church and the training of its employees. This funding strengthens the pastoral, social and interreligious work, the infrastructure and the training of lay people, priests and religious of the Catholic Church. A major concern in this partnership between NECC and Missio Aachen will be identifying and funding projects in sectors like Culture, Humanitarian Aid and Emergency.

JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Head of the Projects Unit, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for helping NECC obtain better recognition in the development setting and financial growth. S/He will also be responsible for reviewing potential project proposals from Cameroon, and recommending to Missio Aachen for sponsorship, project proposals which align with NECC's vision and mission.

Duties and res onsibilities
Building key relationships with stakeholders, identifying and mapping partnerships
Identifying funding opportunities for NECC
Developing growth strategies and plans
Thinking strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve NECC's visibility in the development setting
Working strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
Keeping abreast of trends and changes in the business development world
Ensuring that best partnership practices are applied across all projects and successes are shared
Working with partnership teams of NECC and some key partners in the identification, design and coordination of capacity building activities necessary to enhance projects performances
Furthermore, the incumbent will have the following additional responsibilities:
Taking lead in reviewing proposals submitted to NECC for relevance and pertinence.
Recommending project proposals to be funded by Missio Aachen
Ensures approved project proposals are executed in a complaint manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, qualification and expérience
Master's degree required in Business Development, Business Administration,
International Relations, Marketing or any other related field
At least 4 years of experience in a related field or similar role
Proven track record of business development success (You will be required to provide proof of such)
Computer proficiency in MS Office suit.
Knowledge of business consulting tools, especially Excel modelling, business-plan analysis, interview techniques, and research.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.

Have good managerial skills. Ability to lead diverse/multidisciplinary teams; Have very good relationship management skills. Ability to build relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally. Strategy in how to approach each relationship;
Be rigorous and have a sense of responsibility;
Have very good skills in strategy, analysis, systems thinking, problem solving, with the ability to see the big picture, exercise judgement and make sound decisions; Be proactive, resourceful, solution-oriented and results-oriented; Be dynamic, have the ability to innovate and develop a structure; Have moral probity.

Language requirements : Must be bilingual with a working knowledge of English and French. Travel required: National (25%) and international travel (as needed)..
