Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer/Instructor in Statistics to join our
team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics,
a commitment to educating future professionals in the field, and the ability to deliver engaging
and informative lectures and training sessions. This role presents an exciting opportunity to
contribute to the growth and development of individuals interested in harnessing the power of
statistical analysis for effective humanitarian practices.
Responsibilities:
● Design and deliver lectures, workshops, and training sessions related to water,
sanitation, and hygiene, ensuring content is current, relevant, and aligned with industry
standards.
● Develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, presentations, reading materials,
and assessment tools.
● Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters active participation and
encourages critical thinking among students.
● Provide mentorship and guidance to students, offering insights into career paths within
WASH and related fields.
● Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in WASH to continuously
enhance the quality of instruction.
● Collaborate with other faculty members to refine curriculum, share resources, and
contribute to the overall academic goals of the program.
● Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their learning
and growth.
● Participate in faculty meetings, departmental initiatives, and contribute to program
development efforts.Qualifications:
● Master's or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related
field.
● Proven professional experience in statistical analysis, research, or data-driven
decision-making.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience
● Prior teaching or training experience, preferably at the tertiary level or in professional
development settings.
● Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex
statistical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
● Passion for leveraging statistics to address humanitarian challenges and improve
decision-making.
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
effectively.
● Proficiency in statistical software and technology for instructional purposes..
Preferred:
● Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
● Teaching Language : English
● Experience working in multicultural or diverse settings.
● Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.
