RETAIL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Responsible for the company's oil and gas retail sales within its assigned territory with the goal of optimizing operations, increasing efficiency of fuels, lubricants, shops, car wash and other services (sales, GM, Opex, ROI, etc.). He/she will be responsible for improving the customer experience in accordance with the company's plan and strategic direction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Retail Sales Representative manages dealer relationships and contracts as well as training dealers and site personnel.
Leverages key business interfaces with Retail MTs, Retail Offering, Network, C-Store, and Pricing and manages technical and engineering services, accounting, and finance, legal, customer service and general sourcing, distribution, to deliver excellence in retail execution.
Customer offering in terms of marketing mix and flawless operations with the result of optimizing the profitability of the entire Retail activity in its territory.
The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for managing all retail aspects of each location within their defined territory with the goal of optimizing operations, increasing the return of fuels, lubricants, area rear, car wash and services (sales, GM, Opex, ROI, etc.) and improving the customer experience, and in line with the BCP plan and the strategic direction of the company.
Managing dealer relationships and contracts as well as dealer and site staff training.
Execute “Backcourt, Forecourt and Services” offering plans in coordination with Retail Offering, Pricing and C-Store.
Optimize all operational aspects of the site (tank capacity, excessive pumping, product mix, number of pumps/nozzles, filling, manoeuvrability, and accessibility within the sites).
In line with the RNSS, execute the development of “flagship stations” in key areas such as the “To Be” model for standards, outcomes, customer service, retail effectiveness and other initiatives, retail programs, etc.
Owner of Retail Automation (Connectivity, FCC, ATG, Cameras, ...) working closely with Director of Business Operations, IT and Retail Sales.
Monitor performance by location: sales of fuels, lubricants, rear areas, and services against Plan plus GM, Opex and NI.
Monitor wet stock management, lubricant inventory, stock outs, lubricant bestsellers and KPIs by site.
Manage dealer relationships and performance, rental optimization, credit monitoring and contract administration.
Manage maintenance and repairs of equipment, assets within budget.
·Manage the implementation of promotions (fuels, lubricants, cross promotions) in terms of staff performance, inventory, logistics and communications materials.
Manage the implementation of company programs and initiatives (Fidelity, O'Card, O'Ptimium, etc.)
Manage the operation of lubrication bays, programs, and display of lubricants in relation to the planogram.
Manage implementation of health & safety standards and company controls.
Monthly and periodic analysis and reporting of results per site and progress updates.
Assess training needs and implement E-learning and on-site training for dealers, pump attendants and Lube Experts.
Responsible for conducting market intelligence, surveys and research of the consumer, market, competition and opportunities or changes within his territory.
Manage the allocation of budget across the Department to ensure complete adherence and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner and take corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process.
Consolidate all reporting department’s budget input to formulate department budget and submit to leadership for approval and further consolidation People Management.
Ensure that any employee has a Job description that reflects the expectations of the management about the position held.
Ensure, at the beginning of the year, that employees have been assigned challenging goals and that they are aware of the management expectations, along with set deadlines.
Provide guidance to direct reports, mentor, and coach them when necessary.
Ensure that the staff is provided with the relevant training and materials needed to perform their job effectively and efficiently, in line with their job descriptions.
Monitor performance and give feedback and appraisal reviews on a regular basis to ensure that performance objectives are met.
Formulate workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plan and budgets for the department to ensure adequate staffing for optimal operational smoothness and submit to the leadership for approval.
Identify talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to ensure business continuity and liaise with HR for enrolment in the necessary program.
Hold regular meetings with the staff to strengthen the social climate and to improve effectiveness and efficiency at work.
Promote effective communication on all levels of the organization within the company and with other corporate functions and Group affiliates.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
University degree in business or engineering
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in sales and marketing, with 2 years of experience managing teams.
Must have a good understanding of the petroleum industry and be able to manage a complex business with strong motivation, innovation, and interpersonal skills.
