ABOUT NECC
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (NECC) is the Head Quarter of the Catholic Church in Cameroon, where the promotion of human dignity is at the center of the concerns of the Sustainable Development Goals. The National Episcopal Conference of Camercon (NECC) has entrusted to NSECAE the mission of ensuring an integral and inclusive quality education for the children and young people entrusted to it by their parents, without distinction. In other words, NSECAE's commitment includes the education of all the population: intellectual, physical, moral, civic, spiritual and environmental education, etc.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
JOB Summar
Under the direct supervision of the National Sec:retariat for Catholic Education, the main tasks of the post holder will be to:
Keep abreast of new teaching approaches;
Define educational objectives and priorities;
Ensure the alignment of programs with pedagogical objectives, educational and evangelical values; liaise with MINESEC's Pedagogic Inspectors;
Distribute information on pedagogy to the Secretariat for Catholic Education and colleges;
Define priority needs in pedagogic training based on field surveys;
Provide teaching resources and training tools to improve teachers' knowledge, skills and practices;
Organize and run training sessions;
Plan and carry out teacher training;
Coordinate the pedagogic activities of the Secretariats for Catholic Education; Organize meetings with diocesan pedagogic coordinators to harmonize work and follow-up;
Organize periodic visits to evaluate activities in the field;
Coordinate educational initiatives and cctivities across the various dioceses and establishments;
Collect and analyze data on pupil and school performance; Promote and support innovation in teaching practices;
Promote the development of non-acadennic skills such as social, emotional and life skills in pupils;
Facilitate pupils' transitions between levels of schooling (e.g. from primary to secondary school);
Refer to and report to hierarchy;
Draw up reports for each activity carried out.
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM
Education and Experience o Level of education: Min GCE A Level + 3;
Holds a Secondary School Teacher's Diplo ma; o Fields of study: Educational sciences (history of education, sociology of education, subject didactics, psychology of learning, oedagogy, or philosophy of education) or any other discipline recognized as equivalent; o At least 05 years' professional experience in a similar position; Experience in Catholic private education would be an asset; Very good computer skills: Word - Excel etc.
Personal skils
Be a Catholic Christian with experience in education; have managerial skills;
Ability to work under pressure;
Self-control and the ability to listen;
Be proactive, honest and competent;
Knowledge of child psychology;
Master pedagogical approaches;
Knowledge of pedagogy and andragogy; knowledge of school management; have knowledge of legal texts on educaticn; Be available, respectful and persevering;
Be disciplined and diligent in respecting the statutes of the Catholic Teaching Order and the laws of the State;
0 have good organizational skills.
Language requirements / desired: Must be bilingual with a working knowledge of English and French.
