Main objective and tasks • Assist in the management of project accounting working in collaboration with other administrative staff.
• Assists in the Administration of Treasury accounts ensuring compliance with the existing procedures.
• Updates the economic and financial situation of the base and project in terms of expenditure, credits, cash and available liquidity.
• Be responsible for the Financial and Administrative documents of the base and all the documentation of the finished project.
• Maintain a filing system for physical and electronic documents.
• Ensure compliance with the purchasing validation procedure.
• Ensure the payment of all invoices under the supervision of the Country Administrator.
• Controls base operation costs.
• Supports during donor’s audits.
• Assists in follows up and ensures the rental contracts for stores, for houses, warehouses, offices (up to date and payments).
• Assists to ensures that all contracts comply with the standard and the law.
Maintains effective monitoring and ensures timely renewal if necessary.
• Assists to ensure that all INTERSOS property if insured and closely monitors all insurance contracts.
• Ensures a well-designed document filing system, all agreements, contracts, employee files in the main office.
• He/ She is the support in the field to all questions related to the management of national personnel.
• Assists in preparation of audit controls. Thoroughly check and controls all accounting supporting documents put in possession.
• Keeps cash book making sure to record each expense in the appropriate book. Be sure to allocate expenses by budget line and by coding projects.
• Ensures the safe keeping of the bank book, matching bank reconciliation.
• Controls the monthly accounting package and forwards to the Finance Officer.
• Execution of any other task not listed at the request of the hierarchy/Head of Mission, Project Manager, Finance Officer and Country
Administrator.
• Provides support in the management of personnel files and documents relating to national staff (classification, monitoring…)
• Ensure the signatures of Attendance sheet, Purchase Requests, Contracts, Cover page etc.
• Keep proper administrative records.
• Perform all tasks relating to incoming and outgoing mail (writing, sending, receiving, photocopying, filing etc).
• Monitoring of collaboration agreement with medical structures and monitoring of declaration with state services.
• Submit weekly project expenditure supporting documents to Finance Officer in Buea.
Educational and professional experience required
• The ideal candidate should have at least the bachelor Degree in accounting or all equivalent diplomas
• 02 Years Minimum experience in a similar post.
• Experience with projects funded by donors
• English and Pidgin, knowledge of French is considered an asset
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Respect and non-discriminatory attitude

• IT / bureaucratic,
• Excellent Report writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Dynamic, creative, flexible
Languages English and Pidgin
Knowledge of French (written and spoken) is an asset
