Good Neighbors Cameroon is an International NGO that has been working in Cameroon since 2014 to promote health, education, and improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) at the community level. GNCMR is seeking the services of a qualified Consultant to conduct a WASH endline survey in the Bafia Health District.
Job Description
The consultant shall:
1. Review the survey protocol, obtain ethical and administrative clearance
2. Recruit and train the survey team and supervise data collection
3. Conduct data collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation and come up with the final write up
4. Present survey results in plenary and possibly publish survey results
5. Ensure ethical and quality standards
Profile/Qualification of Consultant
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills:
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Water and Sanitation Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience conducting WASH-related surveys, assessments, or research.
• Proven experience in data analysis using tools such as SPSS, STATA, or other relevant software.
• Familiarity with community-based WASH practices and previous experience working with international NGOs or similar organizations.
• Expertise in developing and applying research methodologies for surveys and impact assessments.
• Strong report writing and analytical skills, with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
• Fluency in English or French (proficiency in both languages is preferred).
• Willingness to travel to remote areas within Bafia health district.
